Best Kayak Prices – Dick’s Sporting Goods

Best Kayak Prices at Dick’s locally

I continue to look locally for the best kayak prices. I will start out with kayaks that are not inflatable, as I truly have not seen inflatable kayaks on any river.

Locally, Dick’s Sporting Goods has an 8′ Sun Dolphin Bali listed at $219.99. It is important to note that this is a “sit on top” kayak. I personally do not like sit on top kayaks. Many companies advertise these as “safer” and that is not true – they are cheaper and more available than the sit in kayaks, so they are simply saying they are safer because sometimes these are the only kayaks available. It currently says there is “limited availability to ship” and that it is “not available for pickup.” When I clicked further into the description, it said there are “only 6 left to ship.” AND HERE IS WHERE THEY GET YOU!!!! LOOK AT THE SHIPPING COST!!!

Soooo, the $219 Kayak now becomes a whopping $359!

Also, this kayak does NOT come with a paddle. The lowest priced paddle on Dick’s website is $49.99 with a limited quantity to pick up.

Also, there is no lifejacket that comes with this kayak . The lowest price lifejacket I see at Dick’s that is currently in stock is $39.99 with a “limited quantity.”
